Ingredients

For the crescent dough:
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 3/4 cups bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
- 3 teaspoons yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
For the filling:
- 8 oz. light cream cheese
- 1/2 cup plain nonfat yogurt
- 1/2 cup chopped sweet peppers
- 1/2 cup snipped chives
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
Sprinkle on:
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 cups finely diced lean ham
Instructions
- Put all the dough ingredients into the bread machine and set it on the dough setting (don’t let the yeast touch the hot melted butter right away).
- While the dough is going, mix together the filling ingredients.
- When the dough is done, preheat the oven to 350 F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
- Cut the dough into 2 pieces and roll each piece out into a rectangle shape. Spread with the filling, then sprinkle with ham & cheese. Roll up jelly roll style and pinch the ends to seal. Cut the roll into 1/2 inch slices.
- Set the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until golden brown.
