Ingredients
Scale
- 1 thin pizza crust (I used this recipe)
- Good quality olive oil
- Several pear and/or cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
- Mozzarella pearls
- Coarse sea salt
- Fresh basil leaves
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450 F. Prepare the dough for the crust, then brush the top with olive oil. Bake for about 5 minutes.
- Arrange the tomatoes around the pizza crust and place the small balls of mozzarella between them. Sprinkle the pizza just lightly with a bit of coarse sea salt.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the mozzarella is nicely melted. While the pizza is baking, roll about 5 – 7 large basil leaves into a roll and slice thin.
- Sprinkle the pizza with the sliced basil and (if you like) a few whole leaves of basil just to make it pretty. Slice and enjoy!
