It was a beautiful summer night and it just so happened to be a Wednesday … my yoga night. After yoga, we were invited to my friend Sue’s house for wine on her lovely patio. Sue owns a furniture store, so her home is a lovely haven, with comfy furniture and beautiful spaces everywhere (much like her store). We met in the kitchen, around the island where Sue had the wine ready and a HUGE bowl of this gorgeous salsa. The pizza was coming soon, but, coming out of an intense yoga class, we were hungry and immediately started munching on the salsa.
Sue’s peach avocado salsa had no heat at all and yet, we were all enthralled with it! I begged her to send me the recipe, and she sent me a photo of a crumpled piece of paper, sort of a dark gray in the background, with white text. The flavors of this salsa are sweet and juicy, yet creamy. If you wish, you can add heat with a little jalapeno or whatever hot pepper you prefer. You can also play with the balance of things–add more fruit, less avocado. Maybe a little more tomato or cilantro … or maybe a little less. Throw in some bell pepper. It’s a forgiving, simple recipe that will accommodate and meet you wherever you want to be with your salsa.
I made this for an event at work and this salsa disappeared in a flash!

These flavors together sound amazing.
Sounds delicious! I’ve made mango and avocado together and so I can imagine this is great.
One beautiful salsa
Thank you, Misbah! It was really marvelous.
How cool that you didn’t use any olive oil in this recipe…and, it still has all the flavor and packs such tastiness!
No need for olive oil! You’ve got the avocado for the creamy goodness.
Sounds really good. Got to try this.
You do! It’s soooo yummy.
